Nature Connection in the Aorere Valley
Forest immersion (Shinrin-yoku or forest bathing) is the practice of mindfully connecting with nature. Research shows that spending intentional time in forests can reduce stress, improve mood, enhance immune function, and restore mental clarity.
Golden Bay’s ancient forests—with their pristine native bush, towering rimu, and vibrant bird song—offer extraordinary spaces for this practice.
